The Planes Corts Foundation is a private foundation created in 2022, promoted by Joan Planes Vila, founder of the company Fluidra.
Its aim is to promote local development, reverse depopulation, create an environment that favours employment, generate sustainable projects that have an impact on the territory, generate public-private synergies, foster pride in belonging, boost cultural and social life, recognise, respect and value the past and present, and turn the valley into a benchmark for rural development.
What are we doing?
This development project – centred on the villages of Estamariu and Bescaran – aims to be an incentive for the population to stay in the area.
We implement infrastructures for the generation of sustainable energy for self-consumption from our own resources.
We offer training in trades related to the land. We manage collective work spaces to promote the collaborative economy.
How do we do it?
Through the development of innovative actions that, based on the territory’s own resources, promote the creation of the job market and the improvement of the quality of life of people in rural areas.
In this sense, we promote circular economy projects based on three closely related axes: change of the energy model, use of the territory’s resources to create employment and transformation of waste into resources for the creation of wealth.
