Host municipalities

Villages in rural areas are progressively losing population, and this has consequences for the development and future possibilities of these populations.

Right now we find ourselves in a situation where the remaining population is aging, young people migrate to large cities and do not return to their place of origin, businesses and services are forced to close because they have fewer and fewer customers, schools are closing, fields and livestock are being abandoned, etc.

But on the other hand, there are people who live in cities who are interested in moving to small towns because they consider that they offer a quality and healthy living environment.

In this complex situation, we believe that we must join forces with all the agents involved and to begin with we have decided to work directly with the city councils. To do this , we are carrying out a pilot test that consists of creating a network of municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants that want to become host municipalities.
