The current reality is of many vans doing the same routes or matching routes. And it is also the case of many producers who do not come to certain areas because of the costs of having to carry it themselves or pay for a parcel company that often mistreats goods and is not aligned with agroecological principles.
And if a tool makes it easier to make these routes visible, share and more efficient? Fewer vans but more full. Lower costs worldwide, also for the planet.
With this idea was born Rutescompartides.cat, an application in the style of car sharing but for goods. A platform because routes and orders meet. As simple as this. As transformative as this. A project that sees the light after a year and a half of work diagnosing the needs of producers, finding the right technical team and developing a custom-made software that meets the needs detected.
RutesCompartides is a very simple tool. It is explained in the video that has been disseminated on networks. All you have to do is access to.cat routesÂ, register and hang the route -Â through which there is space available to the van- or the order -Â that you are looking for someone to tune into your route- . Or look for already created routes that match the order and then ask them to take it. With options such as intermediate points, maximum deviation of the route, type of transport (isothermal, refrigerated, frozen or dry) and space available to the vehicle.
