100 grants of 30% tuition fee in UOC studies for residents in rural areas

The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya has 100 scholarships intended to cover 30% of the enrolment amount of any UOC training program that takes place during the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023 (on-line training). These grants aim to facilitate access to university-level training for people residing in rural areas.

Submission of applications and documentation:

The interested parts who want to obtain any of the enrolment scholarships called in the bases will have to:

  1. Fill in the electronic form of the UOC grant application that you will find in: Scholars Information (uoc.edu)
  2. Send a mail to uocrural@uoc.edu email address with the following specifications.

Message subject: New rurality scholarships – First and last names

Attach, in a single document, the following supporting documentation of compliance with the requirements for this call:

  • Document accrediting residence in a population with less than 2,000 inhabitants or up to 5,000 if located in a demarcation (comarca, Commonwealth or province) with a population density less than 100 hab/km2.
  • National identity document
  • Model 100 of the income tax on natural persons of family members corresponding to the last year before the application was submitted.
  • Letter of motivation expressing the proposal on how training and residence are linked to a rural area.

The individual amount of the grant is a 30% bonus on the amount of the programme enrolment that the beneficiary wishes to take during two semesters. The bonus will not apply to the amount to be paid in second and subsequent registrations of the same credit, nor will it be cumulative to other UOC discounts.

The deadline for applying for the grant is 9 January 2023.
