Vice-president Agustí Jiménez closed the course this Thursday, ensuring that “to support the rural world, a very deep knowledge of the reality of each territory and the specific cases that occur there is necessary.”
The Lleida Provincial Council has concluded, this Thursday, the training program that has been carried out by the Municipal Planning and Cooperation Area with the aim of training up to 8 technicians and 10 technicians specialized in the demographic challenge.
The course aimed to provide participants with tools to generate projects that end up having an impact on municipalities in a comprehensive and effective way, as well as improving the lives of people in a territory with 85 nuclei, between municipalities and EMD. “Facing the challenge of repopulation is complex, because we have a very multifaceted territory, where many variables come into play. That is why we firmly believe that the only way to face it is to work together”, said vice president Agustí Jiménez, at the closing ceremony of these training days.

The vice president highlighted the willingness of the technicians and the proactivity they have shown throughout all the training days, despite the long distances that these people have had to travel to attend.
Their effort is proportional to the actions that the Lleida Provincial Council has carried out in designing policies to address the demographic challenge in recent years. “We are sure that together with these initiatives we will ensure that many more people stay in the territory, work there and build solid and lasting life projects,” concluded Jiménez.
The total amount granted by the Lleida Provincial Council for these line 2 subsidies to finance expenses that allow, through the hiring of technicians and techniques, to face the demographic challenge in the lands of Lleida, through the generation of projects aimed at opening new employment options and general development, has been €631,726.82.
