The Association for the Integral Rural Development of the North-Eastern area of Catalonia ADRINOC operates in the counties of La Garrotxa (the whole county), Alt Empordà (39 municipalities), Osona (6 municipalities), Pla de l ‘Estany (1 municipality), La Selva (5 municipalities) and El Gironès (3 municipalities). This extensive territory located in the northeastern part of Catalonia includes a wide range of landscapes that extend from the Catalan pre-littoral and transversal mountain ranges, delete through the volcanic area of La Garrotxa and the Empordà plain to the Albera mountain range, culminating in The Pyrenees. In terms of economic activity, this territorial area has a traditional and consolidated industrial network, while the major investments are concentrated in the servicesector. Economic activities are concentrated in specific areas of the territory, with a high population density and close to the main communication infrastructures.
